We're proud to call Columbus home

This is a list of places, people, and things we like. Some are helping us in this task of putting on a sane and hospitable wedding. Others are places that will help you get to know us a little better.

Microfinancing small businesses in developing countries
We have found a lot of pleasure in using a tiny fraction of the resources we currently have to support artisans, farmers, and small business owners in developing countries. Kiva provides a superb opportunity to directly loan to small businesses; it's a privilege to be involved in this tiny way.

Creative Cuisine
Our caterer
You probably know that food is really important to both of us. John Sowder at Creative Cuisine has been an absolute pleasure to work with. He is letting us custom-design our own menu, using Faith's recipes and local farm-grown produce and meat.

The Ohio Ecological Food & Farm Association (OEFFA)
Much of the food for our wedding will come from OEFFA members, since our caterer is on the board of trustees.

The Greener Grocer
Our produce stand of choice
Much of our produce (and at least one recipe for the wedding!) comes from this produce market within the North Market.

Cindy Ferguson
The fine art of papercutting
Cindy created the beautiful image of bread, wine, and sage used on our invitations. She is a wonderful artist, creating and then hand-cutting illustrations. We really treasure this small work of art.

Bryan and Joleen Fenstermacher
Parents of Ella...oh, and photographers too.
Bryan and Joleen are fabulous local photographers, and we have lots in common with them too. Watch for them and their flashbulbs, and smile big!

The Kitchn
Faith's day job.
Apartment Therapy's The Kitchn is a daily blog that talks about food, cooking, nourishment of the home and body, and lots of other good stuff. Faith is the managing editor. It's just about the most fun job ever.

Surface Water Ocean Topography Satellite Mission
Mike's day job.
Mike works at THE Ohio State University on a top secret mission involving satellite images, math, water, and... we're not allowed to know.
